The Andrew Goodman Foundation (AGF) is an organization that supports youth leadership development, voting accessibility, and social justice initiatives on campuses across the country with mini-grants to select institutions of higher learning and other financial assistance to student leaders.

In preparation for the historic 2020 presidential election, AGF hosted Take Your Power Back Weekend on August 1-2, 2020, to educate, motivate, and inspire college students across the country to take their power back at the ballot box and beyond.

To prepare for their 6th National Civic Leadership Training Summit, AGF was in need of a logo for the official summit title and a visual brand identity for the virtual Take Your Power Back Weekend.

Since this summit would be their first to be virtual and open to the public, AGF wanted to reach as many young people as possible to encourage them to particpate.

Upon our initial research, we noted that the previous years summits were promoted with dull and conservative graphics. We also took note of some of AGF’s partners whose branding was much more visually appealing.

Incorporating tons of bold and bright hues that were sure to appeal and bring energy to college students was part of the strategic approach for the summit’s visual identity.

As a result of our team’s collaborative efforts, there were:

  • 699 registrants
  • 50 program segments
  • 84 speakers, including Danny Glover and Udonis Haslem
  • 24 total partners, including Rock The Vote and Democracy Summer
  • 50K social reach
  • 25,562 paid social reach
